Summary: The Trade Marketing & Visual Merchandising Manager leads the development and execution of trade marketing and visual merchandising strategies across APAC. This role partners closely with sales teams and retailers to drive brand visibility, strengthen market share, and accelerate business growth. It ensures a consistent brand presentation and impactful consumer experiences across all retail touchpoints by aligning global campaigns with regional needs and overseeing flawless execution with internal and external partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Trade Marketing
- Develop and execute retailer-specific trade marketing and visual merchandising strategies that align with regional priorities.
- Lead preparation of all decks and presentations for sales, retailer, regional, and strategy meetings, ensuring timely delivery and incorporation of stakeholder input.
- Coordinate with Global Marketing to deliver campaign assets, content, and copy tailored to retailer needs.
- Manage creative development for retailer dotcom, social, and in-store collateral from briefing to final delivery.
- Collaborate with PR/Social teams to support retail partners with digital amplification plans.
- Oversee PDP content creation and optimization in partnership with Global Marketing, ensuring best-in-class execution to drive conversion.
- Handle retailer product setup documentation and ensure timely submission of all required materials.
- Maintain marketing calendars and trackers to align internal teams and retailer activations.
- Analyze post-launch performance and provide insights to refine future trade and VM initiatives
Visual Merchandising
- Oversee the design, production, and installation of VM elements for new launches, seasonal updates, and permanent fixtures across all retail formats.
- Act as the main point of contact and project lead for all regional VM initiatives from ideation through execution.
- Ensure consistent and premium brand presentation across all retail environments, including gondolas, counters, pop-ups, and freestanding stores.
- Facilitate discussions, decision-making, and conflict resolution with suppliers and retailers for each project.
Retailer Meetings, Retailer Calendar, Retailer Relationships
- Partner with the Commercial Manager on retailer market week meetings and ongoing updates. Lead preparation of all decks/presentations for sales and retailer meetings, as well as regional and strategy meetings on an as-needed basis, with adequate advanced timing, ensuring that all stakeholder input is incorporated.
- Work with the internal team on meeting agenda topics. Issue detailed and timely meeting recaps and manage follow-ups.
- Track Retailer launch readiness, dates, and programs.
- Field ad hoc retailer requests, and provide program updates.
Sampling & Budget
- Own retailer sampling programs end-to-end, including forecasting, budgeting, order placement/tracking, retailer uploads, PO placement, and shipping.
- Partner with the Product Development team to develop new, innovative sampling formats to encourage consumer trial.
- Track and evaluate trade spending utilization and effectiveness.
Industry Knowledge & Reporting
- Track and report on competitive activity in the field (events, brand activations, PDP assets, merchandising).
- Leverage market insights to inform strategy and maximize marketing effectiveness.
- Minimum 5 years’ trade or retail marketing experience in beauty, ideally with Sephora exposure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing preferred
- Proven track record in end-to-end product launches and retail strategy development
- Proven experience collaborating with global teams to adapt and implement regional strategies.
- Strong financial acumen with an understanding of ROI and business impact
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and a proactive problem solver.
